30-Hour Mediator Certificate Training
The Community Resource Collective handles conflicts that arise in School Districts and Communities involving students, parents, staff, and members of local neighborhoods, as well as intergroup community conflicts that arise in Southern California. We are seeking volunteers who are interested strengthening the fabric of communities and building relationships among residents, schools, youth, families, and businesses.
Training Information
- Training will be a combination of interactive exercises, lectures, role-plays, and case studies.
- The training will focus on cross cultural conflict resolution within diverse communities. the training will cover cultural awareness and understanding, cross cultural communication, problem solving, acting as a third-party intermediary, large and small party mediation techniques.
- The 30-hour community mediation training fits the minimum requirements of the State of California Dispute Resolutions Programs Act and the Los Angeles Country Dispute Resolution Program for mediation training.
Participants who complete the full 30-hours will receive a Certificate of Attendance. An additional 30 hours of observation and supervised mediation practice will be required in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.

- $250 standard rate, $150 non-profit rate, $25 School District-affiliated rate (employees, parents, families), $15 student rate. Make check or money order to: Community Resource Collective.
